About the slumber roll
pianomusicforsleep.com is a free place to fall asleep to Purrple Cat’s piano music.
Purrple Cat
Purrple Cat is an independent lofi project that started in December 2018 with Up All Night. Today that’s 500+ songs, 500M+ streams and 425K followers. The music is mostly instrumental; the Memories EP and Please Hold Me have vocals, so they aren’t on this site. There’s no face reveal, just the music and the cat.
How the pieces were chosen
Out of the self-released catalogue, only tracks where the piano clearly leads made it in. Then we kept the ones that stay soft and steady: gentle attacks, no sudden jumps in volume, slow movement. That leaves 64 pieces from 24 records, about 3 h 2 min of music.
Using the music

Questions
Is this really piano music?
Yes. These 64 pieces are the Purrple Cat tracks where the piano leads and the music stays soft and steady: slow chords, quiet melodies and a little texture underneath. Tracks with vocals and anything with sudden loud moments are left out.
Is it free?
Yes. Every piece plays in full, free, with no account and no ads, and every one can be downloaded as an MP3.
How does the sleep timer work?
Pull the lever (or press Timer in the player) to choose 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. In the last ten minutes the page darkens like a lamp turning down, and in the last three minutes the music fades out and stops by itself.
Can I use the music in my videos or livestreams?
Yes, on all social media platforms and in livestreams, with the credit “Music by Purrple Cat” and a link to purrplecat.com. It’s licensed CC BY 4.0.
Can I upload it to Spotify or release a remix?
No. Neither the music nor remixes, samples or covers of it may be uploaded to music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, because that causes false Content ID claims.
Is any of it made with AI?
No AI. Every piece is composed and produced by Purrple Cat.
